The purpose of Sisters in Crime, Inc.  is to promote the professional development and advancement of women crime writers to achieve equality in the industry.

The purpose of Sisters in Crime – Wisconsin Chapter is to offer visibility and to promote SinC/WI members, as well as visiting members of the Sisters in Crime, Inc. organization; to encourage and facilitate networking among our members; to facilitate members’ sharing of individual expertise and knowledge; and to assist Sisters in Crime, Inc. to carry out its mission, projects, and objectives.

If you would like to support Wisconsin mystery writers and promote the goals of Sisters in Crime – welcome!  Our group is fairly informal and because we’re still small, this is a great time to get involved and to help shape the chapter.  Our membership includes writers (both multi-published and pre-published), librarians, booksellers, and other individuals and institutions interested in women’s mystery fiction.

For more information, email WISinC-owner@yahoogroups.com or join us at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/WISinC .

We meet quarterly.  One meeting takes place at “Murder and Mayhem in Muskego,” a day-long symposium which takes place each October at the Muskego Public Library.  Other meetings take place at independent bookstores, or in members’ homes, and often include a guest speaker or educational activity.  We also communicate through a dedicated Listserve.

We look forward to meeting you!
